The multimedia installation explores connections between the attention economy and a depleted planet mined to create the technologies that uphold it. Attention capture is becoming increasingly more sophisticated as eye tracking technologies and algorithmic systems collect detailed information about users. At the same time, the fabrication of these infrastructures and devices and the server power to keep them running requires resources, depletes landscapes and contributes to CO2 emissions.  What is at stake is not only to regain attention, or to find new ways to be attentive, but also to tend to the complex systems that prop up this economy and make them more livable for both humans and non-humans.
